Natural Yeast Infection Remedies And Related Cautions

There are dozens of e-books and thousands of articles on the internet which relate directly to this subject. I am not going to rehash them here. What I am going to do is summarize some basic themes while presenting related cautions. These cautions are often downplayed on the internet. That does not make these issues any less serious.
Immediate natural yeast infection remedies:
- Introduce more ‘good’ bacteria into the body. For best results apply topically to the infected area. For example with vaginal yeast infection, dip a tampon in natural yogurt and insert it into the vagina. Replace after several hours and continue until effective.
- Apply natural anti fungal substances such as garlic oil and tea tree oil to the infected areas topically. Caution - do not ingest these substances even though they are natural.
- Fungus thrives in moist dark places, do the opposite as is practical - do not wear wet clothing, use cotton undergarments (fabrics that breath), sunshine.
Immediate pharmaceutical yeast infection treatments:
- Apply pharmaceutical anti-fungal substances such as Monistat. Caution - many of this type of product have very undesirable side effects. Please investigate the side effects before using.
- Ingest pharmaceutical antibiotics. Caution - these products are not discriminatory and they kill all bacteria including our necessary ‘good’ bacteria.
Dangerous immediate yeast infection treatments:
- Boric acid is a mild anti-fungal agent. The dangers of boric acid outweigh its benefits. It is toxic. Caution – Boric acid should never be consumed. Boric acid should never be used on open sores or abrasions.
There are many natural remedies, some more effective than others. Use common sense and confirm natural remedies with testimonials when possible.
There are dozens of pharmaceutical creams, washes and antibacterial sprays available. Again use common sense and check for side effects with the manufacturer.
There are also dozens of pharmaceutical products which are designed to treat infections by killing all the bacteria. Antibiotics are not discriminatory and they kill all bacteria, including the ‘good’ bacteria like acidophilus which is necessary in our digestive system.
Another downside of man-made antibiotics is best illustrated by Penicillin. Once a panacea, it was used for all infections, many times when perhaps it was not necessary. Accordingly, Penicillin has lost much of its effectiveness. The bacteria fought back over past decades. Through millions of generations, the bacteria which attack our bodies evolved into Penicillin-resistant strains. Now it is harder and harder to treat even minor infections without using very strong and broad spectrum antibiotics. The type which almost certainly causes havoc with the equilibrium our body develops between bacteria and yeast.
When suffering from a yeast infection, one certainly is eager to find relief immediately. When addressing the symptoms of yeast infections on an immediate basis, there are a number of alternatives. We have just scratched the surface in this discussion.
As in all things concerning the human body, we should always look to maintain the natural equilibrium of our body. Another tenet of intelligent living is to address the causes of health issues not the symptoms. Practice preventive health treatment.
Relieving symptoms is a very temporary solution.
